Rotary Clubs around the world have responded to the humanitarian crisis posed by the devastation in the Philippines in the wake of the Haiyan Typhoon. RB Sunrise Rotary Club and others in San Diego and Imperial County Rotary District 5340 have  contributed nearly $20,000 so far to the relief effort.

One of the largest needs is shelter because thousands have had their homes destroyed.  Rotary makes a difference because Rotarians from other parts of the Philippines that were unaffected respoded quickly to assist in organizing and distributing aid including tents from ShelterBox.
