On Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the weekly breakfast meeting, RB Sunrise welcomed three new members, Carolyn Woempner, Tom Hoy, and Susan Marsh to the Rotarian family.

Carolyn Woempner currently is the Executive Director of the Childcare Resource Service, a department of the YMCA of San Diego County, providing free and low cost services to the community with a focus on child care.  Carolyn volunteers at the Poway Valley Therapeutic Riding Center, The Great Books Foundation, Safe Harbor Lab Rescue, and the Horse Protection League, and is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.  Along with three other authors, Carolyn co-wrote “The Future of Schooling”, regarding educating America in 2020, which was published in 2010.
 
Tom Hoy recently retired but worked for 35 years in the defense contracting industry, specializing in Material Management and Finance.  In retirement, Tom supports the San Diego Humane Society and the Lions, Tigers and Bears animal sanctuary located in Alpine, California.  His hobbies include building desktop computers, dabbling in electronics and technology.
 
Susan Marsh recently retired as a tax accountant after working for the same Big 4 accounting firm for 33 years in the Los Angeles as well as San Diego offices.  She currently owns her own business, working to help clients with tax accounting and bookkeeping services.  Along with her partner, Tom Hoy, she also supports the San Diego Humane Society and the Lions, Tigers and Bears animal sanctuary.  Susan’s hobbies include genealogy research, scrapbooking, and getting together with family and friends.
