RB Sunrise Rotary Selects Abraxas Student of the Month

As part of its ongoing partnership with Abraxas High School, the Rancho Bernardo Sunrise Rotary Club announced their Student Of The Month award for December 2010 at their breakfast meeting on the morning of December 7th.

The presentation to Lorraine Liwanag was made by teacher Bob Lutticken and Rotarian Joseph Giamanco.
 
“Loraine hasn’t missed a day of school in a year and a half,” reported Mr. Lutticken, while also noting “she helps everybody and anybody both on and off the field.” Thanking the RB Sunrise Rotary for their ongoing support, he stated, “We have so many people in college because of you.”
 
Given the expanding programs at Abraxas and their success at cutting their dropout rate by fifty percent, it’s quite apparent they’re doing something right over there.
