RB Sunrise Rotary Helps Valley Elementary Gift Fair

For the fourth year, RB Sunrise Rotary Club assisted the PTA at Valley Elementary School on Bowron Road in Poway with their Gift Fair. RB Sunrise Rotary and volunteers from the sister club, Club Rotario Tijuana Milenio Minarete, provided a breakfast of cold cereal, banana, milk, orange juice and donuts. RB Sunrise Rotary Club also provided gifts and wrapping.  Children who otherwise would not have a gift to give a relative or parent could select a gift and have it wrapped.

This partnership with the Valley Elementary School PTA began 4 years ago when President Al Watson decided that he wanted RB Sunrise Rotary Club to have a hands-on project for children.  Member Sue Herndon knew of this event that the PTA was already doing.  The PTA was not providing the breakfast or gifts, but were having the children do craft projects. Each year since RB Sunrise has looked forward to this partnership as a way to have a meaningful holiday project.
