RB Sunrise First Water Project Completed

Safe dinking water is now available in the village

Past President Nasrin Barbee (2009-2010) announced that RB Sunrise Rotary Club's first WASRAG project has been completed.  WASRAG is Water and Sanitary Rotary Action Group.  The project, initiated in Nasrin's year was listed as completed on August 24, 2011.

RB Sunrise Rotary Club partnered with other local Rotary clubs, as well as International Rotary clubs in order to fund this project to provide safe drinking water for a community in Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivorie-Sokrogbo). This community now has a safe source of clean water that will dramitically the incidence of water borne disease.  In the United States and other developed countries, we take safe drining water for granted.  However, in a majority of third world countries, there is often no safe supply of safe drinking water.  WASRAG is Rotary International's organization to foster provision of safe water and sanitation training.
