RB Sunrise Rotary Club member Craig Brown has been selected to be honored as one of two persons to be inducted into the RB Hall of Fame at a luncheon at the Bernardo Heights Country Club on March 21.

Craig Brown's induction is historic for the organization in that he is the first second-generation inductee.  Craig's father, Ed Brown was inducted into the RB Hall of Fame in 1989.

Craig learned volunteerism from his dad who he called "the poster child of Rancho Bernardo volunteerism".  Jim Roth, who nominated Craig and is himself a 2006 inductee to the Hall of Fame, said, "Craig is one of those people who really gives back to the community under the radar, who never seeks attention or recognition.  He works quietly behind the scenes."

Craig is president and owner of Rancho Financial since 1984.

Craig's volunteer services include seven years on the Poway Center for the Performing Arts Foundation, a year on the Rancho Bernardo Community Foundation board, two years on the Beernardo Town center Property Owners Association, and being the first President of the Rancho Bernardo Business Association.

Craig also has worked tirelessly toward the establishment of the Rancho Bernardo Historical Museum.  When the RB Welcom Center could not be used as the location of the museum, Craig worked to preserve several of its features so that they could be incorporated into the new museum once it is built.

On March 19, Craig will be join fellow selectee Jim Denton in being inducted to the RB Hall of Fame.  He will join fellow RB Sunrise Rotarians Jim Roth and Jerry Hetherington, who was inducted in 2008, as members of the RB Hall of Fame.
