October 2008 Student

As part of its ongoing partnership with Abraxas High School, the Rancho Bernardo Sunrise Rotary Club announced their Student Of The Month award for October 2008 at their November 4th meeting.

The presentation to John Sotomango was made at the club's weekly breakfast meeting by Rotary/Abraxas liaison Rex Teets.

Rex also presented a Teacher of the Month Award to teacher Nick Nevares.  Mr. Nevares is one of John's teacher's.

"John is our ideal of a student destined for success in the future" explained Mr. Nevares. "He works hard, and the results show in his grades and his 'can-do' attitude" The announcement of Sotomango as Student of the month was greeted enthusiastically by the members of the RB Sunrise Rotary. He was also given a gift certificate and an award in honor of his achievement.
