RB Sunrise Rotary Club’s Interact Club at Scripps Ranch participated
again this year at the Annual Copley YMCA Holiday Party. Around 20 members of the Interact club
traveled to the Y to help give out gifts.
The event is given for around 1,300 needy children. Groups of around 200 are brought through at a time. Each child receives a gift. There is a raffle for each group where bikes and other larger gifts are given. The group is then sent to the court-yard, where there are games, Y tattoos, snacks, a jumping machine, pinatas, photo booth and of course Santa Claus.
RB Sunrise member Phil Schneider is the advisor to the Scripps Ranch HS Interact Club. His daughter Erin was
Mrs. Claus this year. Additional photos are posted in a new photo album. The first photo included 5 of our boys
at a table giving gifts. The volunteers were there from 7:30 am until
around 1:30 pm.
