In the United States polio has long been vanquished, but there are still a few places in the world where polio is still endemic.  As honorary Rotarian Bill Gates stated recently, unless polio is completely eradicated in the entire world, polio can come back, not only in third world countries, but in our own back yard. Rotary International  has been partnering with the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control for immunization campaigns to eradicate polio.  We are so close.  Help Rotary End Polio Now.  Donate to this important world public health effort.
