Demotion Party a Great Success!

RB Sunrise Rotary's Annual "Demotion" party was held on Friday evening, June 12. The party was an opportunity to celebrate the successful year under President Kendra Jeffcoat's leadership.

The party began with a presentation of a citation by Councilman Carl DeMaio from the City of San Diego. Then after dinner, the fun began with skits by Jim Roth, Carly Bohnsach, Martin Sheps and Nasrin Barbee. Gag gifts of joke books were presented by Jim Dunny and Rob Weinberg. A "This is Your Life" multimedia presentation created by Soni Sonali was then shown and revealed a "Rainbow" connection. The presentation included photos that Kendra did not know existed from her Rainbow girls days. There were then citations from District 534O, the State Legislature, The County of San Diego and the current director of the Rainbow Girls. Kendra's remarks recognized the collective effort of all of the members. Kendra's husband, Jay, was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship, and Carl Kruse was selected by Kendra to be the RB Sunrise Rotarian of the Year. This was a fun event for our family of Rotary.
