At our club meeting on May 2, 2017, President elect Paul Gorman was recognized for earning his Paul Harris Fellowship +1 award. This award is to celebrate Paul's donation of a second $1000 to The Rotary Foundation. The Rotary Foundation is the charitable funding organization for Rotary International. The Rotary Foundation oversees funding for Rotary's Polio Plus program as well as matching grant funding for projects around the world for such things as clean water, maternal health, peace and conflict resolution and microcredit loans in third world countries. The Rotary Foundation was recently recognized as the World's Outstanding Foundation for 2016.
