Exciting News about BEERnardo

At the Board of Directors meeting last Thursday, Fundraising Chair Gordy Erickson, gave a report about what the BEERnardo Steering Committee has been doing to make this fall's Rancho BEERnardo be an even better event than it has been in the past.  I don't have details to report at this time, but there some exciting enhancements to our event that are being planned.  One enhancement is a even better VIP tasting area that will involve craft brews for outside our region.  Secondly, there are even more craft brews that will be available this year including a prize winning home brewing entry.

Our past success have made our event attractive for the craft brewing industry in San Diego.  They are eager to use our event and the crowd that we attract to showcase the craft brew industry in San Diego that is the #1 craft brewing area in the United States.  Because are being developed now by an outside group to provide marketing and professional tasting results at our event, the status of our event is being raised to a higher level.

In the week's ahead, I am certain that as details are presented to us, all of us will be excited about this year's event.  Kudos to Gordy and his committee for their ongoing efforts to make our event the premier event that it has become.

Mexico House Build

Over this last weekend, members of RB Sunrise traveled to Mexico for another house build.  Jan van Glabbeek, our newest member, reports that he was very impressed with this project.  Because he speaks Spanish, he was able to get to know one ot the neighbors of the recipients of the house that was built.  He also said that because the color he was painting was the same has his shirt, he received a lot of comments about it.

In addition to the house, this project also included an outhouse which can be seen in one of the photos.  One picture shows neighbors in line for gifts of household items that our club brought as gifts.
