Seven Members of RB Sunrise Rotary attended the District 5340's 35th  annual Rotary Foundation Seminar, which again this year was held at the auditorium at the Salk Institute.  Club member and former club president, Trudy Armstrong, was a co-chairman of this event that has been a year in planning.

The Rotary Foundation Seminar is a chance for every Rotarian to have a look at all of the many ways that Rotary is involved in making the world a better place.

Theme for presentations included Microcredit programs, Ambassadorial Scholarship Program, World Peace Scholar, update on Polio Plus, and the matching grants program.

The keynote speaker was Sister Ethel Normoyle, who was the featured speaker at the Rotary International Convention in Copenhagen in 2006. More about this remarkable woman is presented in a separate story in this issue of the bulletin.

When you see Trudy, congratulate her for a job well done.  The seminar was a memorable occasion that helped renew the vision of Rotary and the impact that each one of us can have in the world because we are Rotarians.
