You may have read in the RB News Journal that each of the 21 tenants of the RB Town Center are donating $500 to local nonprofit organizations. The donations are to thank the community for their patience during the construction and disruption of the parking lot during the $6 million renovation of the Town Center. That renovation is now complete.
The surprise is that RB Sunrise Rotary Club will be one of the recipients. I had solicited a donation from Suzanne Lee, OD for our Rancho BEERnardo Festival fundraiser. She has been my optometrist for many years. She forgot to respond to my request. However when this opportunity came up, Dr. Lee remembered and contacted me on the day before Thanksgiving. It isn't official yet, but after a few email messages from President Paul and Susan Marsh, Dr. Lee has the information on how to have the donation check go to our account at the San Diego Foundation.
President Paul Gorman will represent our club at the grand reopening ceremonies for the Town Center on Dec 13. As soon as we can get confirmation of the details about the grand reopening, I will publish it to the club.
