Update on Patrick Riordan
Jay Riordan's son, Patrick, was severely injured in a horrific accident over a week ago. He has already had multiple surgeries to repair the broken bones he suffered in multiple locations on his body. The good news is that he is making steady progress and has been responsive and also was off his ventilator for 40 minutes earlier today. Each day, Brenda or Jay has been reporting the steady progress Patrick is making. He has a long road ahead with more surgery, so keep Patrick, Jay, Brenda and the rest of the family in your prayers. They are part of our Rotary family.
Elmer Getz
I saw former long time member, Elmer Getz and his wife, Ruth at Costco this morning. He was looking good and actually was the one who called to me as I was walking toward the building. It was good to see him.
RB Sunrise Board Meeting
The board of director's meeting for RB Sunrise will be held on Wednesday, Feb 17 at 6:00 pm at Craig Browns Office. Craig's office, Rancho Financial, is located just north of the MacDonalds restaurant on Bernardo center drive. We meet on the first floor office conference room. If you are a new member, this is a chance to get some points toward your blue badge.
Rotational Breakfasts
Next week we are reverting to the original way that Rotary began 111 years ago. Those early club members "rotated' the location of their meetings to the various members offices. That quickly became a problem for new members to find that week's meeting and also the member's offices soon were too small to accommodate the growing club. However beacuse of that early "rotation" of the meeting venue, the club because known as Rotary and the name has survived for over a hundred years. Please learn tomorrow where you can meet with other members to recreate the small group experience that was so important in the beginning of Rotary. Steve Smith is coordinating the office assignments for Feb 23 meeting
