RB Sunrise Rotary will be DARK at the Country Club of RB on Oct 15. Members will meet at the various offices of members who have volunteered to host the rotational breakfasts. Rick Coburn has circulated a sign up sheet at several meetings and will send out an email with instructions on how to sign up online. The idea of Rotational Breakfasts is a return by our club to an idea that the club has done in the past. Rotational meetings has a direct link to the very beginnings of Rotary when meetings "rotated" among the offices of the early founders of Rotary in Chicago and elsewhere. The practice had the be abandoned when club memberships grew beyond the size that could be accommodated in member's offices. RB Sunrise Rotary Club holds the Rotational meetings so that we can have a time to get together and learn about each other's business or profession. During the meetings there is also an opportunity to discuss club matters that cannot be covered in a usual Tuesday morning meeting. Membership Change Brian Gansert resigned from RB Sunrise Rotary last month. He is an executive with Ace Parking and his office is in downtown San Diego. Brian will be researching joining a Rotary Club in San Diego. New Member Dave Allen was inducted into membership last Tuesday, Sept 17. He transferred from the Las Vegas After Hours Rotary Club. He has accepted the Relationship Manager's position at Cornerstone Wealth Management. Member Candidate Marty Greenwald was approved for membership at the RB Sunrise Rotary Board of Directors meeting on Sep 18. His information will be formally published at our next meeting. Mary is a seafood broker who was a member of the Corona Rotary Club. He recently moved to Rancho Bernardo to be closer to family in San Diego. |
