Rancho BEERnardo Festival Week

Our club website now has a feature story about our club's upcoming Rancho BEERnardo IPA Festival Fundraising event. The story has most of the same information that was in the story that appeared in last week's SunRiser.  The story was rewritten for the general public.  You can send the club's website URL (www.rbsunrise.org) to anyone who you think might be interested in the event or the special promotions by the restaurants.

Last week's speaker was former City Councilman and current KOGO talk show host, Carl DeMaio.  Carl's signature focus during his past business and political careers has been fiscal responsibility.  He continues that focus in his talk show. He told us that it was former KOGO talk show host, Roger Hedgecock, who first contacted him about taking over the afternoon time slot that his show holds now.  Roger said he was going to retire and offered that drive time slot to Carl. At a time when political discourse has been made difficult by extreme partisonship, his show offers his listeners the benefit of his past experience and interest in the inner working of government, especially at the local level.

During his comments to our club, he gave his perspective on the current political scene is San Diego.  He gave his insights on several ballot propositions that the voters in San Diego will be be asked to support.  His no nonsense insights were helpful for us to understand what those ballot propositions mean.  You can follow his talk show on KOGO here

Rancho BEERnardo Sponsor Tools

BEERnardo Sponsorship drive is here!!

Last week, Gordy sent the Sponsorship Form and event Fact Sheet to you. Click the links below to get the Sponsorship Tools.

One tool is a "cover letter" that you can customize by adding your contacts name and address (open and look at it!! You will see what I mean) for all your friends, family members, neighbors & business owners in the area that you are emailing or mailing the sponsorship requests to.

Other tools are two versions of the "Sponsorship Form" and event "Fact Sheet" for you - one is both documents combined into (1) 3-page document, and then in case you want to print some - the same documents are attached a two separate documents. (Just in case you lost that last email)

Our goal is to raise $75,000+ this year. That is 50% more than last year. We have more Rotarians this year than last year, and the event has growing momentum... With the event being moved to Webb Park we will be establishing a phenomenal annual event for our community. It should be easier than ever for you to bring in those Sponsors!!

Remember, the best way to get more sponsors is to ASK.  In person and by phone, you never know which one of the people you interact with each day is just waiting for the opportunity to participate.

Thanks in advance - this years BEERnardo will be the best yet!!

Let us know if you can think of something that will help us all promote this event and find this years Sponsors.
