President Bret in the Parade, Past President Mike is the driver, Rick Coburn is the ride along.
In the Annual Spirit of the Fourth Parade in Rancho Bernardo, President Bret Geernaert represented RB Sunrise Rotary. Riding in the parade each year is always one of the first duties of our club president. The car he was riding was driven by Past President Mike Moffat and Past President Rick Coburn.
Beside Bret's ride, other members of our club participated by volunteering for traffic control duties. Kim Muslusky, seen in the photo to the right was at the entrance to the parking lot to Chase Bank from Bernardo Center Drive northbound which was the parade route.
Lee Haney with RB Sunrise Foundation Chair, Jeanne MacLaren
During the meeting on July 2, 2019, PDG Carl Kruse and Rotary Foundation Chair Jeanne MacLaren presented a PHF +3 award pin to Lee Haney. Lee joined RB Sunrise Rotary in June 2015 so this means that he has earned a Paul Harris every year since joining Rotary.
Congratulations and thank you to Lee. Your dedicated support of the Rotary Foundation contributes to the success of the foundation in changing lives around the world.
The District Office will be going through many changes over the next 2 months. First, the District Governor Line would like to extend a huge Thank You to Jim Hughes for the many years of generosity in providing a space for the District Office free of charge.
Due to changes in the location by the end of the current Rotary Year the office will move out and become a virtual office. You will still be able to reach out to the District Governor for help by calling the District Office phone number. There is an answering service who will take your message and reach out to someone to assist you. There will changes in the use of the District Conference Room and that information will be made available as soon as possible.
This will be new for all of us and we ask your patience while we work through the process. Please contact me, Marta Knight or Steve Weitzen by calling the District phone number at 619-2-ROTARY (619-276-8279) if you have any questions. You can also keep track of new information on the District website at rotary5340.org.
