The assignment for the Who Am I includes providing the positive thought at the beginning of the meeting and introducing guests and visiting Rotarians during the meeting.
Cheering for Rotary assignment includes selling opportunity drawing tickets.
Details are still being developed for our postponed holiday party. Want your email inbox for details. As of the board meeting last Thursday, we didn't have a host lined up. If you can host this party, please tell Steve Sayler. The party will be a potluck. At our holiday party there is always a silent auction, so be thinking of something special that you might contribute. The silent auction is always a fun event and all of the money goes to fund our projects.
Rancho BEERnardo 2015
A tentative date for our 2015 Rancho BEERnardo Festival Fundraising Event has been tentatively set for October 15, 2015. Reserve this date so that you can be a part of this fun event. After the success of our September 2014 event we will want to make our 2015 event even better!
International Assembly Hosting Event
RB Sunrise Rotary Club will again this year participate in hosting District Governor Elects at Peter Meisen's office in San Diego on Wednesday, Jan 21. There is still time to make a reservation to attend this fun event. Last year's event was a lot of fun. It was a great way to learn about what is happening in the Rotary districts of our guest and know what their projects are. Meeting Rotarians from another part of the world is always fun because all of us have a common bond - our commitment to Service above Self.
During the week of January 18-24, 2015, all district governor elects from around the world will be in San Diego for training at the International Assembly. During that week a hospitality event in which clubs in our district host visiting district governor elects at a social event.
Rancho Bernardo Sunrise Rotary is pleased to be one of the Host Clubs in District 5340 for the Host Hospitality Event on January 21. Peter Meisen has most graciously opened the GENI office at 1088 3rd Ave, San Diego (center of downtown) where we can share GENI's mission a well as that of our club with 10 DG's from around the world. Those who attended last year pretty much agreed it was one of those Rotary Highlight moments!
This is a fun event at which we meet these 10 visitors and their spouses. Because of the capabilites of the GENI office, we also can see what is happening in these other district from diverse locations around the world and hear first hand about what Rotary is doing in those districts. This is a great social event for you and your spouse. Be sure to sign up for this fun event so that you can be a part of this international hosting event.
The cost for this event is $15 per person and the closing date for signup for the event is Jan 6, 2015. IF YOU ARE SIGNED UP FOR THIS EVENT ON THE CLOSING DATE, YOU WILL BE BILLED FOR THE TOTAL AMOUNT.
