Rotational Breakfasts

Remember that tomorrow we are dark at the Country Club of RB.  As noted above, we will instead be meeting at various locations at the business location of the members who volunteer to host these meetings.  To see the list of hosts and the address of their office location, click here.

Jay's Son's Progress

Jay has been updating us via email on his son, Patrick's, progress.  The news is that they did the tracheostomy and that has made it possible for Patrick to breath more comfortably. His white blood cell count has gone done, which means that the infections he was fighting have been successfully treated.  There is also no fluids had been draining from his brain for 12 hours at last report.  If this continues, they will be able to remove the drainage tube from the brain.  Patrick still has many surgeries ahead, but he is responding well neurologically.  Jay and Brenda appreciate greatly our prayers and support. The will continue to need our support.

District Training Assembly

We currently have 8 members of our club who have registered for the District Training Assembly.  This includes our master grant funding guru, Paul Gorman, who will be a presenter for one of the breakout sessions.  If you want to learn more about Rotary and especially if you are new to the club and/or will be new on the board of directors for next year, attending this meeting on Saturday, March 19 is a great way to learn more about what your position is all about.

The Rotarian Magazine

There are several interesting articles in the latest issue of the Rotarian magazine. One article talks about the necessity of Rotarians who are all leaders to also be good followers.  Rotary is about leaders working together and we see that in our club.  There is also a feature article about human trafficking. An additional article is about water and sanitation.  (The story on NewsBits this week tells about what Rotary is doing for water and sanitation as seen by Ivan Alba and his family who are traveling for a year as Rotary volunteers.)
