Important Meeting Change Announcement

This Week's Tuesday, Jan 15, 2019 Usual Morning Meeting has been moved to Wednesday Evening at 6:30 pm to coincide with RB Sunrise Hospitality Event at the Country Club of RB.

Please RSVP to Bret Geernaert bretg2019pres@gmail.com so that we can be sure to inform CCRB how many people to prepare food for and how large a space we will need for this special meeting.

The program for our evening meeting will be the opportunity to learn about the districts of the District Governor Elects that will be transported to our meeting via limo from the Rotary International Assembly in San Diego. Each DGE will get an opportunity to speak in order to tell us about what is happening in their district and what plans they may have for their year as district governor.

All members are encouraged to make this meeting a must attend meeting. You will see that across the Rotary world, Rotarians are united in their passion for service and making the world a better place. This may be the last opportunity to see how other districts operate in other places in the world. Rotary International Assemblies will be hosted in Miami, Florida in the future.

The member assigned to Who Am I is also responsible for providing the positive thought for the day at the beginning of the meeting.

During the meeting the Who Am I assignment member has the task of introducing visiting Rotarians and guests.

The member assigned the Rotary Minute is also a Greeter for the day and is assigned to sell opportunity drawing tickets.

2019 -2020 Rotary Theme Announced in San Diego

Monday, Jan 14, 2019 On the first day of the Rotary International Assembly held in San Diego, Rotary International President - elect President-elect Mark Daniel Maloney addressed the assembled District Governor Elects.

During this address he announced that he has selected Rotary Connects The World as his theme for 2019-20.

The logo to the left will the theme logo during the year that Bret Geernaert will be the president of RB Sunrise Rotary Club.

RB Sunrise Adds a New Member

At our regular meeting on Jan 7, 2019, Brad Sandstrom was inducted as a member of RB Sunrise Rotary Club by Past District Governor Carl Kruse and Membship Chair, Mary Stanton. Brad was also joined in the ceremony by his sponsor, RB Sunrise President Elect Bret Geernaert.
