The speaker for September 9, 2014 will be Kim Muslusky. Kim, a long time Rotarians, recently joined RB Sunrise. She will tell of her personal experiences as a team member supporting surgical treatment weekends in Esendada, Mexico as part of Thousand Smiles. Thousand Smiles is a local foundation that provides surgical and other dental care in support of the treatment of cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities.
Reminder: Sponsor information for sponsorships over $1000 are due on Sept 9 so that the logos can be collected in time to be included in all of the ad pieces we wil have for the festival

The assignment for the Who Am I includes providing the positive thought at the beginning of the meeting and introducing guests and visiting Rotarians during the meeting.
Cheering for Rotary assignment includes selling opportunity drawing tickets.
Rancho Bernardo Sunrise Rotary Club is excited about its upcoming fundraising event, Rancho BEERnardo Festival, San Diego's only IPA Beer Tasting event. This event is a partnership with The Urge Gastropub. The Urge will be provide the food at the event.
Every year, Rancho Bernardo Sunrise Rotary Club holds fundraising events in order to support many community organizations in the nearby community. The impact of these funds and the volunteer efforts of club members combine to make a difference to the recipient organizatons and their missions. Here is a link to a flyer that lists some of the many charities RB Sunrise benefits.
RB Sunrise Rotary, like Rotary Clubs around the world, invites interested persons to join the community leaders in our club to build the relationships that allow us to share ideas about how to help our community and the world. We then create the activities that let our members take action to change lives locally and also internationally.
Relax - I am not suggesting that our club start singing at meetings.
I just wanted to share with you an interesting idea that PDG Larry Sundram posted on the District 5340 FaceBook page. Apparently he attended a webinar or meeting about membership that said that the theme song from the "Cheers" television program really describes what happens in Rotary clubs, especially RB Sunrise Rotary Club.
