Ever wonder why we sell so much beer at our Rancho Beernardo festival? It’s to help organizations like Interfaith Community Services, where we contribute to their senior programs.

This week’s meeting was typical, with Keith and Micki Hickox joining us for breakfast so we could give them a big check. No, we’re not being silly here…the check was for $3,000. Keith, ICS’s Minor Home Repair Coordinator, will tell you he can buy a LOT of nails with that kind of money.

From building homes in Tijuana to the Ed Brown Center, Team Red White and Blue to Toys for Tots, RB Sunrise Rotary has a long list of organizations it supports all year round. But the only way we can help them all is by selling beer.

Okay…that’s not entirely true…you can become a member of this great organization and help us help them. Actually, that’s even better, because then you’ll get to spend quality time with the movers and shakers of North County. You’ll develop solid relationships with some of the highest quality people you’re ever likely to meet. And you’ll meet great speakers like State Assembly Member Brian Maienschein (at this past meeting) and Representative Scott Peters (coming to our meeting this coming Tuesday).

Come down to meet the gang at our weekly breakfast meeting. Each Tuesday we gather at the Rancho Bernardo Country Club for friendship and to find ways to give back to the community. We'll be there next Tuesday, 7am-8:30, and hope to see you there. Be sure to ask us about the chicken.
